In vitro propagation of<i>Vaccinium floribundum</i>Kunth from seeds: promissory technology for mortiño accelerated production

The Andean mortiño (Vaccinium floribundum Kunth) grows wild in the northern paramos of South América. berries present potential opportunities for agribusiness, but an efficient technology production plants and is required. On other hand, development plant methods from seeds will allow plants’ accessibility its use breeding programs. objective this study was to develop vitro protocol accelerated using seeds. We carried out research four phases: seed germination, multiplication, rooting, acclimatization greenhouse. For we studied effect two culture media [woody medium (WPM) Murashige Skoog (MS], photoperiods (16 24 hours light), temperatures (18 28 °C). best treatment found be WPM + h light 18 °C. In micropropagation seedlings, concentrations three cytokinines [(trans-zeatin riboside (TZR), zeatin (ZEA), 2-isopentenyl adenine (2iP)], 0 light) evaluated, whereby concentration 0.5 mg L −1 TZR treatment. doses auxins [indole-3-butyric acid (IBA), 1-naphthaleneacetic (NAA), indole-3-acetic (IAA)] were resulting 2 mg·L IBA giving root induction.
